When meeting with people for the first time for therapy, one of the things I like to ask them about is their sleep. This is because sleeping is one of the most mportant things for your mental health. If a person is not sleeping, their ability to do even the most basic things can be diminished. A lack of sleep can make healing from trauma, addiction or other mental health issues feel nearly impossible.
